Threefold Village provides a unique and powerful complement of resources for homeschooling and independent learning families in the Los Angeles area. Our approach to serving this precious community is simple – support and nurture the student and the parent-teacher. We know and appreciate this educational experience thrives due to the parent-teacher’s love and commitment, and is anchored to their student’s success.
You’re Not Alone
Homeschooling and independent learning are worthy endeavors – and are as demanding as rewarding. Of course, if one chooses a Waldorf inspired, or a similar path, “demanding” can quickly become “practically impossible.” After all, how can one or two parents provide main lessons, languages, games and movement, art, music and handwork; let alone the festivals and ceremonies? Well, perhaps one or two parents cannot. But a village certainly can…
At Threefold Village, we recognize these challenges because we lived them. We know how hard it can be and we want to help. There is no need to feel isolated, disconnected or alone in your effort. This community is thriving and leading a shift in educational paradigm. We are excited and honored to introduce Enrichment Services that support the “whole” student and homeschool experience.
What You Receive
When you enroll in enrichment services with Threefold Village you are connecting your student and yourself to caring and accomplished educators and instructors in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Our highly trained and certified staff will take great care to share and instill a passion for learning while introducing and enriching understanding of the material covered. Whatever subjects or service you choose, the student will be met with respect and recognition as a valued member of the community.
What’s more, our Main Lesson student families receive weekly guidance in order to bring the lessons and subject matter home to carry the lesson topics forward, deepening the child’s connection to the material. Threefold Village staff lay a foundation of lessons and build upon it each week with our students. Parents, or another Teacher of Record, continue their vital role in directing the homeschool education for the remainder of the week, but not alone! Your Threefold Village educator will keep you up to date on current topics of enrichment and what’s coming up next – keeping all of us in sync!
Also, for families with independent study charter schools, our educators on site can help with identifying your student’s work samples, and understanding their relevance for the education plan your Teacher of Record has requested.
How It Works
Threefold Village offers a variety of educational enrichment services. Let’s review them now:
- Transitional Kindergarten & Kindergarten . – This is for children 4y 9mo – 6 years. This enrichment is a Waldorf-oriented Kindergarten experience in morning or afternoon sessions. Parents may select sessions across 2 to 3 days, based on availability. Reach out to info@threefoldvillage.com to learn more.
- Main Lesson – Age and developmentally appropriate Waldorf-oriented lessons following the indications driving a globally respected curriculum. (2 hour sessions – two or three times per week).
- Specialty Subjects – Subjects in the practical and performing arts (among others) that are tailored to specific needs to round out a student’s Waldorf experience. (Orchestra, Vocal and Instrumental Music, Art, Handwork, Spanish, Gardening and Math Lab, and Games [Physical Education] )
Charter School Vendor Services – Threefold Village partners with select charter schools to support students from TK through 8th grade to meet their educational goals. Grades level classes provide a combination of academic subjects brought by Waldorf Certified / trained teachers during Main Lesson and subject matter experts in Specialty Subjects which include skills development through Handwork, world languages, Music and physical education through outdoor games, physical challenges, and collaborative work. Early childhood classes enjoy the comfort of a wonderful and inspiring environment and incredible outdoor area which benefit from the daily rhythm and sparks imagination and creative play! Morning Sessions begin between 9:30 and 10:00 AM, staggered by age/grade groups.
Afternoon Sessions start at 1 or 2pm and end between 3:00 and 3:10 PM

Service selections for charter schools are pared down to block segments of Threefold Village services, and subject to availability and may require customization to align your desired selection with your charter schedule and service requirements – for this reason we strongly urge you to contact us for an appointment.
