This is a rare opportunity to enjoy the revered and ancient art of West African storytelling in an intimate, communal setting – all the while supporting Threefold Village!
Baba the Storyteller has been a professional speaker since 1994 and is one of the few recognized U.S. born practitioners of the ancient West African storytelling craft known as Jaliyaa. He has received numerous awards over the years for his work as a folklorist, traditional harpist, storyteller, author, educator, community activist and volunteer.
Baba has presented in thousands of schools and other institutions all across the world. He is also a recipient of a California State Assembly Certificate of Recognition for his creative uses of storytelling and his commitment to community in working with troubled teens. The City of Long Beach California recognized Baba as their municipality’s Artist of the Year, an award presented to him by the Mayor. He has also earned additional commendations from both the U.S. Senate and U.S. Congress. Recently, in 2017, Baba was recognized for his undying commitment to building community and activism by being presented the prestigious Heritage Award by the Aquarium of the Pacific during their Annual African-American Heritage Month Celebrations.

This page empowers you to make a direct donation to Threefold Village, a way of mobilizing your support for what TFV provides, including this incredible event!
We don’t hassle you for fundraising very often – and when we do, we like to provide incredible value for your time and efforts. This time is no different – when you donate your dollars to Threefold Village, you are practicing the law of circulation and you are showing your appreciation and intention for these incredible experiences and keeping them coming in the future!
Not sure how much to donate? First and foremost, we encourage you to consider how unique a blessing the Threefold Village community is, and ask you to follow your heart’s intention for showing what the organization means in your life, and give accordingly.
If you are new to TFV, or to charitable giving, consider donating $25 per person who may attend the event. If you’re not able to gift that amount, donate what you can – but do your best to donate something! The community needs everyone’s support.
